We're happy to help you with any activation quesitons you may have!

When you join RingPlus, you'll need to re-provision your phone from the Sprint Network in order to make and receive calls, text messages, and use your data. Let's get that phone of yours online!

Depending on the of model of your phone, you will likely need to perform a PRL Update to activate the phone and texting functions, and then a Profile Update to activate your 3G/4G data. Sound hard? Not at all. Select the appropriate generic instructions to the left, or choose from your model of phone (if available) for specific walkthroughs.

Performing a PRL Update

Performing a PRL Update will reset the tower list that your phone is allowed to talk to, as well as provision it with it's new phone number and associated information. Can't make any calls or send any text messages? Try a PRL Update!

  • Dial##72786#
  • It will ask you for your password or "MSL" - Your MSL can be found in the Accounts page of your RingPlus Dashboard

You should now be able to make phone calls and texts! Next comes setting up your data connection.

Performing a Profile Update

Performing a Profile Update will update your phone with the information it needs to connect to the wireless data network. If you're having any issues with your data connection - 3G, 4G LTE, or 2G - it may be a good idea to perform a Profile Update!

Strongly Recommended - Connect to WiFi Before Beginning
  • If at all possible, before performing a Profile Update connect to a WiFi signal and verify that you can reach the Internet.
  • If don't have access to WiFi at this time, feel free to proceed. If you receive an error at any point during your Profile Update that reports "No update available," connecting to a WiFi network will allow the handset to go over the Internet and reach the appropriate provisioning servers.

  • Click “System Updates” - depending on your version of Android (2.3, 4.0, 4.1, etc...) this may also require you to swipe side-to-side to find it on a different screen.
  • Click "Update Profile". The device will connect via the internet and provision your data.

Your phone will now reboot and when it comes back up, you should have full data!
